Odds are that you have a bad O2 sensor, bad thermo time switch, bad coolant temp sensor or some combination of the three. I finally replaced all of them in my '86 es and solved the same problem. It is not a timing problem. There is no adjustment in a motronic system.

I understand that my '86 325e has computer controlled ingition timing, but the symtoms all point to a timing problem. It only occurs on start-up until warm-up, is that possible? Remedys?
