There are at least FOUR different kind of e30 fogs. The 84-86 325e had Hella 550/H3 fogs, mounted outside the front bumper. The 1986 325es had the Hella fogs, exclusively for spoiler mount.

Then, the 1987-88 325(super-eta), had the under-bumper-mount Bosch H3 fogs, which are smaller-yet just as efficient. The 88-92 M3 had the spoiler-mount Hella units, which are very hard to source. If you want these- I know of Eurasian Auto, in Temecula, CA carries these in-stock. Sorry for the running commentary, but its important to be more specific as to what you really seek.
