4.10 and top speed, confirm or deny (archive)

I've been told that 325i with a 4.10 will pull to redline in 5th gear. Can anyone confirm or deny this? If that is true
my top speed will actually increase with a 4.10, because my car hits top speed in 4th gear at redline (around 128mph). Not that it matters much, I've only been on one track with a long enough straight to hit red line in 4th (Portland International, no festival chicane), but I'd still like to know.
