It can be done , but you can buy a control arm with new ball joints for about $60. The Ball joints are about $18 each and you have to have an arbor press to put them in. Much easier to replace the entire arm.

Om my e30 1985 the left control arm ball joint have to much wear. Can the ball joint be replaced ? or do I have to replace the whole contol arm.
If the ball joint can be replaced a detaild descibtion of how to disconnect the ball joint and the control arm would be appreciated
