The guy is asking $700 for it. It has a 1 year old tranny (5 speed) and a 7 mo. old rear differential. he has owned it for 4 years and does not have ANY maintenance records. Any thing I should watch out for when i test drive it? Do you think the car is worth $500, even if it needs work done to it?

listen for any type of grinding noises or major vibrations & rattles.look for fluid leaking
from the tranny or rear end or engine,small leaks are probably doable for $500 but big ones could be trouble.
