Gang,

BMW offers Alpine cd changers on cars from 1996 on with and without an I-Bus. Here are the part numbers from the accessory catalog:

BMW/Alpine 6 disc changer w/I-Bus: 82 11 1 469 404 - $595
BMW/Alpine 6 disc changer w/o I-Bus: 82 11 1 468 014 - $499

They also offer the Pioneer changers with and without I-Bus.

Does anyone know what I-Bus is and what the difference in sound or functionality is. The I-Bus is much more expensive.
