325iC Guage Cluster question (archive)

Can anyone tell me what the connections in the back of the guage cluster at the speedo are for? I'm referring to the ones that plug into the Green connector (I have two single wire ones that connect currently.)

Can I connect the speed sensitive volume lead off of my newer BMW radio/changer to one of these leads?
