When you turn the ignition key to the on position with the radio on. CODE will flash. enter the 5 digit code directly, no other "secret" buttons or sequences. Check with the dealer again for the code if it doesn't work. If they say it is the right code, you may want to pull the radio and check the serial number, as it might not be the original unit. I've never had a problem inputting the code after disconnecting the battery. Bought a used 86 325. During some recent work, the battery was unhooked and the radio reset itself to "code". The code given to me by the dealer does not work. Am I missing something??? Do I just punch in the code after turning on the radio or is there a double-secret sequence of events that has to take place here? Also, in case the code is invalid, where would I get the correct one??? Aaaaagggghhh!!!
