I did have rust problems with the ANSA'a on my 88 735i. The two I tried previously lasted only 18 months before the outside started peeling and the pipes broke off going into the muffler. I was a little hesitant about trying them again but the price was right. I was definitely suprised that this 325i muffler seems much heavier duty, better built, than my 735 mufflers. It has double wall construction in the exit pipes which should help the longevity a bit. Plus, I repainted the current ANSA 735 muffler with high temp ceramic heat paint and it's looking fine after 15 months so I did the 325 muffler with the same stuff.
