DONT DEAL WITH THESE GUYS_LONG Please Read!!! (archive)

About 2 years ago I was looking everywherre to find tan leather Recarro style seats for my 89 325is and after calling everywhere I finally got in touch with these guys-I was told that they did indeed have a set that where "next to new" with hardly any flaws-As anyone knows these seats are very hard to find in perfect shape and these guys told me these were probably as close as I would get-That is why they had a hefty price tag-$800!
Well, my car was near perfect so I agreed to the price and told them I would take them-Thay then informed me that since they were this price they would need payment first in the form of a check or money order-I then asked them if I could wire them the money because I really wanted these seats soon-they said this would be fine and as soon as they received my payment -the seats would be on the way-The next day I sent the payment and began to await their arrival-I gave them 2 weeks and still no seats-I called them back and they told me that they were still in the shipping dept. and unfortunatly someone forgot to ship them out-they assured me these seats would leave that day-another week went by and I called them again-Now the story went from them being in the shipping dept. to these seats were not of high quality like I had been told so they were looking for another set-I said that I was very unhappy and would like a refund-now things go from bad to worse-they told me that they could not give refunds, exchanges only-I said I never received the product so the money was basically mine-and they said they would not refund my money-I was furious-I called my lawyer and told him the situation-we then proceeded to conferance call Bavarian and ask for my money back-they then told my lawyer that the seats had already been shipped-we argued about this for some time without ever resolving the problem-they then told him that they never said these seats were in excellent shape-they said "oh after 10 years you cant expect them to be like new" Now I was pissed-I threatened to drive to California from Michigan and get this straighted out-they assured me the seats were on the way and I could never get a refund-well anyways, I finally recaived the seats-6 months after I ordered them-1 was heated and 1 was not-the leather was a poor excuse for a cover up-they had filled the cracks with some vinyl repair and dyed them from their original grey color to the tan I needed-Biggest waste of money I ever spent-WEll anyways I will never buy anything sight unseen again, and as far as B.A.R. goes I hope they go out of business someday, they give recyclers a very bad name-
