Congratulations on your car. Re: the brake warning light on. Assuming the pads are OK (check the thickness or have checked). There is a sensor - one in front (I forget which wheel) and one in rear. Look for a short two wire lead that goes into the pad area. You can replace the sensor (just a plug in ) or you can just clip the wires and join them together and tape. This will complete the circuit and the light will go out.
