It's not the valet key; it opens the trunk just fine. I don't know why the lock would be different.


if ignition key doesnt work,then you probably have the valet key from the seller.if other key is not available,you should get a locksmith to make key for your glove box.Im not sure if its cheaper to do this or buy new lock&key.ask for prices.


The glovebox on my '87 325is is locked and the key won't open it for some reason. I didn't lock it, it was that way when I got the car.

How can I open the glovebox without breaking it?
