Exactally what years came with ellipsoids?
There is a local junkyard that has an 88. They want like $30 per side for the whole assembly. I am buying an '87 and I think I want to put them in. What all do I need?

I have heard that I need to re-wire the circut. Does anyone know exactally I need to do? Any schematics?

Thanks, Bill

Bill, the e30 included ellipsoids only in the 1988-89 model years. BMW realized they were too expensive to have them standard on a entry-level Bimmer. To make them work on your 87- you will need the wiring harness, and relay unit. If you think that is too involved, I have a good pair of flat-lens 51/4" H4 low-beam lamps, with Xenon 9003 bulbs. Asking $70(includes shipping within US). Let me know...

First, Do you have any pics of them in a car?
Are they the E-Code lenses?

On the Ellipsoids, how much of the wiring harness would I need? Just the sockets? or all of the front harness from the fuse box? I am not afraid of any wiring/mechanical mods, given a schematic and instructions.

Thanks, Bill

Thanks, Bill
