2.5L Conversions for M3s

If they include a Crankshaft, Pistons, Main Bearings, Rod Bearings, Lower Gasket Set, Head Gasket, Exhaust Gaskets, Chip, etc.... Mostly factory evolution 3 parts, then couldnt you build that on top of other E30 engines with similar blocks (ie 318)?

Or is it for the US E30 M3 which is 2.3L? I have seen some tuning sites (BMP design) stick a 2.7L stroker in a non-M3 E30 and have it work and look grea! So someone please explain to me the "conversion process" because I have a 318 and if I can convert it to a larger engine with of course more output then I can do that insead of buying various tuning parts that wont compliment that engine if I got it in the future. Thanks.
