Check to make sure the Air Conditioning works. Check how far the rust runs or how deep it is. Check all lights on the inside, dome, dashboard, ect. Check all handles and stuff. I just bought a 86 325e and the guy screwed me over. He didn't tell me the alternator is broken, i noticed the lights were dim but i had no way of telling the alternator was broken. You are going to get a car worth $1650 so don't expect perfect conditons. Just be sure to try everything out. Ask if about replaced parts and just use smarts. Good luck!
I have a chance to buy a 1986 325es with 180000 miles. The paint is faded and poor, and there is some rust on the lower fenders. Asking price is $1650. It has a 5 Speed. I Have not driven it yet. What are the weak points of this model. What should I ask the seller?
