Are all timing belts for all e30s the same. or are they of different lengths. I'm trying to install a new belt and it appears to be a tad short. I cannot get it to slip over the camshaft sprocket without massive amounts of force. and this is with the tensioner pulley only in position but not bolted in by the top bolt.

HELP!!! ........ do i need to go to BWM and get a new belt???

just make shure you have a german, continental[conti-tech] belt
