If you are refering to the red E30, it has an M20 engine punched out to 2.7 litre with a diesel crank and forged pistons. It is a 6 cylinder engine. The S14 M3 engine is a 4 cpot motor. The M52 is a 24 valve 6 cylinder engine that has no part interchangeable with the previously named engines. Yes you can build a 2.3 or even a 2.5 stroker engine by using an M3 crank (2.3 or 2.5) and special pistons, but the limitation of your 8 valve head will cut you out of the 250 HP an M3 E30 can reach. It seems you are pretty new to the subject and are mixing apples with oranges...
For the third time. I do not plan to use my engine while it is silly and impractical. I was exercising logic. I want to put an M3 or similar engine in the car and complement that with the according suspension, intake, throttle body, exhaust, differential, etc.
I was wonering if it were possible to use one of these "KITS" on a SOHC M10. Although trite, kinda cool. Yes, one wouldnt have near 250hp BUT one would have more thatn 101hp. Not for $2500 to $5000 though.
Do you guys see where I going?
Thank you all for your time to post!!!!!!
Cheers!
