I got '93 325ic via a car wanted ad in the Roundel, and a mechanic (and CCA member) at the Indianapolis BMW dealer saw my ad and remembered that Scott Goodyear had just turned in his 325ic on consignment for the dealer to sell. They called me, and I flew out there ten days later and drove it home.

The Roundel is a great source, but you have to be patient (you have to place the ad by the 15th of the month TWO months before publication, e.g., before Feb 15th for the APRIL edition!) But mine was well worth the wait!

There is also the BMW Parts Digest run by Zionsville Auto.

1991 - first year with the small bumpers (manual top)
1992 - first year with power top (last year of e30 cabrio)

Finally, where are the best places on the web to place a "wanted" ad?
