The 325 is also conservative though. The tested time for a 325 is between 7.2 and 7.4 secs for a 325i Sport in the UK.


Hi Guys!

My brother, who owns a 91 318i, gave me a photocopy of this article from Car & Driver (september 1990). The magazine tested the 91 318is and acheived a 0-60mph time of 8.7s. That is like 1.2s better than what BMW claims (9.9s)! and matches the time of the 89 325is, if I am not mistaken.

I always thought the 325e/es was supposed to be faster than the 90-91 318i/is. Was the 325e ever tested by a car magazine? If so, were they able to acheive a faster time than what BMW claims (I think 9.2s).
