Well I bet MY 325 E will spank your M10 from start. My 325 E is able to take 325 i or keep up with them.

Sweet Teaguer!! i like your car. The E-21 is one of my most fav. BMW's bsides the e-30 and the e-46.. My borther has a e-21 320/6 euro 5 speed. It is fully restored(60Kmiles)..i love it..and since my 15 year old bro. doesn't want the e-21(wants a 93' 318is) i might as well get the e-21..i'm keeping my fingers crossed..man a 19 year old with 2 bmw..that would be sweet!

check out my website

Just so you dont lose all hope in your 318.
This is my 320 with a stout rebuilt 2 liter.
Its putting out a easy 130bhp.
This is with the old 3.64 diff , its got a 3.91 now.
You have to accept that your car will never blow away Mustangs or
even 325's (not "i"s but "e"s all day long).

But you can kill smaller cars like Hondas and Neons.

If you like e-mail me for more M10 insight.

later,
Teaguer
