Omer

Now that I've insulted you below... How does your bother like his 91 318is? I am looking for one for my teenager. Have driven 91 318i, but not a 318is yet. Likes/dislikes? Thanks,

Well actually my brother drives the 318i as well, not the 318is. His car gets excellent mileage; somewhere in the range of 24mpg city and 27mpg highway. He never complains about his car, but I know just how underpowered that thing is. Not that its a lot, but just enough for me to beat him in my friggin "eta" powered car (just once though)!. The other thing is that his car handles a bit better than mine does.

It might be a smart idea to buy your "teenager" the 91 318i/is. Except for the profile gasket, these cars were very reliable. Also since they are not as fast as the 325is and handle nicely, it is a bit safer in the hands of a young driver.

Just my opinion,

Omer.
