Mine did the same thing on my '90 ic... Due to the light, the switch generates a little heat. This causes the switch to swell slightly... If you want it off, push at each of the four corners in the morning before you put the key in the ignition so its cool inside the car... Sounds strange but worked fine for me. The only long lasting solution was to buy a new switch...
