Hi everyone, Im 17 and a true bmw fanatic. I am getting ready to buy a car w/ assistance from the parents. Their only stipulation is it must be an Auto tranny. Yes i was heart broken too, but my question is, i know the eta motor has more torque than the 325i, but which of these two do you think would be better with the auto tranny? Ive loved E30s for a while and im not buying the car for drag racing, but a little peppy-ness never hurt anyone! thanks alot

If it's auto you must have than you should go with a 89-91 325i. The reason is the 4.1 diff change in 1989. They placed them in the autos to help make up the power loss. And remember repairs are going to cost just about the same from 84-91. If this is going to be one of your first cars it would be wiser the choose a newer E30 thats not going to need the TLC if your beloved ETA. Plus you would get the new bumpers. Feel free to E-mail any questions to my hotmail.
