I recently installed MM's lightened flywheel as part of a clutch change. At 150K miles, the stock flywheel needed resurfacing which was going to run nearly $100. Jim Rowe's price for the lightened flywheel was about $250.

After a thousand miles or so, I highly recommend it. There is a noticable change. Releasing the clutch pedal produces a response much more quickly than the stock unit.

Consider replacing the shift linkage as well if your car has high mileage. Fresh, stock bushings would provide notable improvement. I used UUC's evo-street kit. It's a nice improvement the shifts are now notably notchy. A new transmission will likely have less "notchiness".

Also, consider the h/d transmission mounts from the e28 m5 (i think) or the m6. They are essentially the same dimension as the stock units (and retain the 8mm mounting bolts) but are more solid (less complient) and have a coating to slow oil absorption (the principal contributor to failure).
