Just bought E30 318i (archive)

200k miles, $1500

Previous owner was a mechanic who had done a lot of work on it. Engine feels solid, chassis in good condition, starts fine, doesn't pull when I brake hard, rev'd it high for about 20 minutes and the heat didn't climb, clutch feels about 65% worn. Basically, I figure you can't go very wrong for $1500 (and it came with the Bentley!)

Otoh, it's gots lots of "trim" issues.

What kind of precautionay work should I have done on it? Timing belt? I'll probably change oil & filter, fuel filter, replace front rotors and pads.
