Thanks for the info to both you an 'jnuke'. I feel alot better about tackling the OBC now.

Tim

I just bought an 88 325is, and need to change the OBC backlight. To do that, I have to pull the radio, but I do not have the security code, nor does the previous owner. Is there a way to find this code through BMW? Is there a way to change the OBC light without screwing the radio up? Thanks, any ideas or help is greatly appreciated.
Tim

You can pull the radio out sufficiently enough to
get at the OBC while leaving the wiring connected.

To get the code, drive the car over to the BMW
dealer and they'll write the radio's serial number
down and retrieve the code from their database.
95% of the dealers will not charge you for this
but you better ask in advance just in case.
Having the radio already loose helps too :-)
