I have an 86 325es and just ordered a pare of control arm bushings for it is this something I can replace myself
without any special tools??

If you intend to do work on your car you should get a Bentley manual.
The bushing will have to be press out of the bracket. I would recommend you bring it to a machine shop to do this. Align the arrow on the new bushing to the marking on the bracket then press it.Lubricate the control arm shaft with anti freeze and slide the bushing on to it all the way. Immediately lower the car and let it sit for a while to allow the bushing to set.Good luck.
