Well, I finally got it. It's in amazing condition, the last owner took very good care of it. There are dings, but hardly noticable. The coolant light is on when I run the check. He says he's had it checked out and it's just a short. I'll go check it out later on tommorrow. Anyone got some tips on maintenance, and know any fun upgrades I can do to it?

http://Congratulations! I have an '86 325ES. I bought it new and have had several things done to it just recently. I replaced/upgraded the suspension with Bilstein strutts and shocks, replaced the springs with Eibachs, and also put in new Eibach sway bars. You can get a Dinan chip to increase Horsepower and Torque, but it's not neccessary. Regarding the coolant light, mine was on as well and I had to replace the coolant sensor. Fairly inexpensive, but you might want to check the water pump as well. Sometimes a worn out pump can give you a warning light indicator. Don't forget to make sure your timing belt is ok because it will do damage to the engine if it breaks. Regarding upgrades, I'm considering putting in a short shifter to make shifting a little tighter and more fun. I reccommend you call Bavarian at 1-800-535-2002 and try to talk to David. He's very helpful and actually has a 325 as well. One last thought, if you are getting any chatter from your trunk area, you probably need to replace your rear shock mounts. I recommend Turner Motorsportat 1-800-280-6966 . Ask them about their "tune-able" shcok mounts. They go for about $120.00 and you can adjust them for different driving conditions!
