hose leaking...HELP (archive)

i'm looking at a car online...the price is right but he says this is the prob

"i found a little leak from one of the hose to the radiator and after a while the car starts overheating, because of that water leaking"

I know w/ out seeing it it's not easy to diegnose (sp?) the prob but would this be a big prob...i've changed the hoses on my toyota trecell before w/ almost no probs.. sould like the same deal here?
