The offset bushings were standard on the M3. They change the camber of the front tires, making them lean in a bit. This improves cornering, but makes the tires wear a bit faster.

A friend of mine is about to buy new control arms for his 325is. He asked me what the advantage of offset bushings would be.... I simply didn't know. Can someone here enlighten me?
