Hi Y'all! If you have never seen that phrase on your driving school or club waivers, you might reconsider before you sign same! In Texas, and I think, a bunch of other states, that waiver gives your insurance company the option of excluding your insurance coverage for the event. Even worse, you might be held liable for any damage, done by anyone at the event (called joint and several liability) if you sign the waiver. I have repeatedly brought this to the BMW CCA, but I have been rebuffed with the statement that "it would reduce the number of participants in the drivers' schools". Now that Herr Schlossel,esq. Indiana lawyer who wrote the first such waiver is now a national BMW CCA goof,
I would exercise even more caution! Mike
