In STS class, they disallow Limited Slip Differentials, "except for factory viscous coupler type units".
Is the E30 LSD of that type? BMWE30.net doesn't have that info.

The E30 LSD is a clutch pack type LSD and as such
is specifically not legal for any Street Touring
class.
