I will be looking for a good used 325ix ('88-'91) in a few months. I thought i have seen pictures of an IX with a convertible top. Is this correct? The only ones i have seen for sale are hardtops with sunroof. Also, are there any inherint problems that an IX would have, that i should look for. I have previously owned an E30 '90 325ic, and am wishing i had not sold it. Thanks.

I have yet to see of hear of an ix convertible. It's most likely possible to modify a factory cabrio into an ix, but I can't see why anyone would want to.
Any reason you want an ix versus let's say an "is"?

Neal

No iX converts from the factory. If you buy an iX check it out carefully and buy the best one you can afford. That will save you in the long run. Check the transfer case for leaks and teh front drive system including the CV joints/boots.
