its the pressure plate? Did you do something to it? Tell the truth! I myself have had to yank an engine once because I forgot to put the throwout bearing back. Oops. I am 99% sure that the tranny has to come out to tighten them up. There is a metal panel that is on the engine that protects the flywheel that comes off without taking the trans engine out. Take that off and see if you can see the pressure plate bolts. You can check each one's tightness and then move the engien a few degrees and then check the next one. But remember that when you torque these suckers down they need to be tightened in a star pattern, or you could warp the clutch and mess up the pressure plate.
