Planned to replace my fuel filter today. Haynes recommends depressurizing the fuel system: pull the fuel pump fuse, wait for the car to stall, pop the gas cap, disconnect the battery, and go. Then I found an interesting thing. My #11 fuse, which is supposed to be the fuel pump, is a 15 amp fuse. Supposed to be 7.5. Should I be concerned?
Old adage: if it ain't broke, don't fix it?
While I'm here, have any of you out there done the depressurize deal when replacing the fuel filter? Do you think it's necessary?
