I have an '85 325e into which I just installed a 3.25LSD. I go through gears much more quickly now and my milage has gone from an average of 25-28 to 20-23. I figured that it was just the new diff, but now the car has started stalling at red lights (happened twice today).

So now I'm wondering if I might have a vacuum leak or something. Engine feels sluggish between 1000-2000 rpm, and throttle response is quirky below 1000 rpm (i.e. sometimes a little input on the loud pedal does not increase engine speed at all).

Any ideas?

check if running rich if it is then its the throttle position sensor located under throttle body these get full of crap can be cleaned but better to get new
