I know a performance shop by my place that built a custom Turbo on an M20. They used the stock manifolds and flipped them upside-down, there was a little bit of mis-match, so a custom flange was made to fix that. A ball bearing turbo out of a Grand National was used with a custom downpipe. The head was pulled off the car and the combustion chamber was ported until the bowl had about 8.8:1 C/R. He's running 15psi with a large front mounted intercooler and the block was also O-Ringed. The car is sick fast and puts out about 380HP! Here's a pic of a twin turbo M20 I got off a site (that no longer works) from Germany
