Both motors are 2.75 liters and the heads are both the same, give or take some different injection parts. If I were you, try and get a hold of a head off of an E30, 325I. Your looking at a cam that lifts higher and an injection system gear more toward performance. Guys I know who have done this swap are totally stoked with it. It should bolt right up and all you need to do is adjust valves.
