Recently had similar experience as described in your post of June 6. Got my car away from the dealership and had it repaired elsewhere. Now going to follow up with California's Consumer Affairs for action. Encountered this situation with another car maker/dealership years ago, and Consumer Affairs was most helpful with that problem.

German Auto Care in San Ramon; Owner is Axel Rolf; German guy w/very clean shop; he's BMW trained and been it States for 20 years; only works on Bimmers and Mercedes. Done work for me; top notch!!!
