I own an '88 325iX with 130K. It is a great car with unreal grip in the rain & snow. It does cost a little more to maintain these cars due to some iX specific parts. The key is to find one that has been well maintained by someone who knows and appreciates these cars. Look closely at the transfer case for leaks, cv boots for rips in the front, and ask to see service records. Expect to pay more for an iX than an 325is or 325ic. '88's were 2 door, 5 speed, all option cars (leather sport seats, door tweeters, obc, etc...). '89 - '91 were 2 or 4 door, stick or auto, options extra. If it snows or rains alot where you live you're set, if it doesn't get a 325is and forget about it.

I have found the 325ix registry page and that seems pretty cool, but I was wondering if there were any other sites that spoke on the 325ix preferably the 88 version. I am aware of the options that were stock on the car in that year only , but I was wondering the overall pros and cons of this car . All opinions are welcom as long as your not basing them on heresay. thanks
