I have a 1985 318i with 188k on it that runs great when the outside temp is below 80 degree's. But when the outside temp rises my idle goes to hell. It still runs fine when I get up some speed, just very low end and idling has problems. The engine temp remains about the same as cooler days so it isn't overheating. Has anyone else had this porblem before ? Its just weird to me that it straightens right up as soon as it cools off outside. I'm on a budget so I don't want to go replacing parts just guessing. Thanks for any advice...
