Jacking up the motor makes it 1000 times easier. Simply remove the nuts from the bottom fo each motor mount and place a scissors jack under the AC compressor support flange. Jack slowly approx. 4-5 inches. You will also need to loosen and drop the sway bar. You should be able to drop the oil pan, pull it forward and down to clear the oil pump to get it out. This allows to to remove and install the oil pump assembly without making yourself crazy.
