Need advice on towing a 325i with a tow-dolly (archive)

I'm contemplating the purchase of a tow-dolly (front wheels on the dolly and rears rolling on the ground) for my '90 325i (5-speed manual & LimitedSlip rear end). The front of the car has plenty of clearance to get up and down the ramps and it doesn't look at though the exhaust pipes will come in contact with the ground (I'm using a 6" drop hitch off the receiver so the tounge is parallel to the ground.).

The owner's manual doesn't specifically discourage towing manual transmissions with 4-wheels down or dragging the rear end like this - as opposed to the warnings they give for automatics. Naturally I'd have the transmission in neutral and the key turned to the point where the front wheels can steer free.

I'd like to know if I'm asking for trouble 'down the road' by using the tow dolly.

Thanks
