You CAN run an 89 octane. BMW still recommends the 91. and after you chip your car, 91 is REQUIRED if you want your car to run. If you dont mind, I would also recommend running with the 91 now anyway. It wont kill your car with the 89 though.



Is it acceptable to run 89 octane, or should I be running Premium?

A little later on, I'll be chipping it and putting on a free flow intake, and after then, I expect to be required to run premium...
