Could be the oil pan gasket? In my 318, all of a sudden I was losing almost a quart a week in leaks. The 318 has two pans, the 6's do not so it will be easier for you. Also, I just redid my clutch and pulled the flywheel to replace the rear seal. After 230,000 and never being replaced, it looked fine. I would doubt it is the rear seal. It is a pain to replace (just removing the tranny, clutch, and flywheel--everything else is easy). Could also be the front seal. That is a pain on the 6's because you have to remove the timing belt. Try parking over a box to see where the leak is coming from. Good luck.
gOT A USED 1990 325 ic iT HAS AN OIL LEAK. my mechanic does not know if it is the valve cover gasket or the rear seal. He think it could be the VC gasket since the engine is slanted and the oil is running backward to the rear seal. Are the rear seals known to go??
Also, steering has loose feel when bumps are hit. Car was check and tie rods etc are fine. any thoughts.
