thanks to everyone who posted a response-i pretty much do all the work/maintenance on my cars but for this one,i'll probably take it to a bmw specialist since everyone agrees it'll be a tough job to tackle(possible yet tough)-it's going to the shop on tuesday:-) thanks again...rob
