There are all of the relays in the fuse box, one conrtols the fuel system. Something in the ignition system might be frayed or broken and when the plastic expands from the heat it could be pulling apart a broken contact.With the ECU located in the car engine temp shouldn't affect the ECU at all. If it is a bad signal then one of the sensors may be affected by what I just described. I'd try checking all of the contacts with a multimeter when hot and cold and make sure all of the sensors are responding. That is, of course, if the ecu doesn't fix it.
