I had a Dynomax put on about 10 years ago and it still performs well. Sounds smooth and mellow a little louder than stock. Muffler styles have changed since then so it looks dated. A flow master has that cobby race only look even today and should work well also. If I were to do it again I would start at the cat and go rearward with 2 1/2" and probably eliminate the resonator. It would be a little raspy but I think I could live with that. I had a flow master on my Nissan truck in which the installation was just like I described and it had a mellow tone just like the Dynomax Bimmer so I think that would be a safe bet.

Anyone installed a Flowmaster or similar system on a 325e?Thinking about a cat back pipe with Flowmaster muffler and DTM tips.

THinking of during the same thing let me know how it works out or any advice.
