Are there different kinds of coolant sensors for E30s. I looked at alloembmwparts.com and they list a coolant sensor as 109mm. Mine looks like it is around 130mm. Does anybody know where to get one for 1987 325i?

TIA,
Alex

There are different coolant sensors. On top of your reserve tank there will be a wire going into the sensor. Pull the wire assembly from the sensor. On an 87 325i, it will probably be a two-prong connector. You can order the sensor from Bavarian Autosports for around $20.
