Given the function and design of the control arm, I can't see any reason that it would wear faster on a lowered ix. What we're really talkin about is the ball joints in the control arm. The 1.5" drop does not put the ball joints in an extreme position that would speed wear. Ball joint wear in your case is going to depend on road conditions (and driving habits :) ), how often the ball joints will be subjected to jounce and rebound. Besides, if they last 60K rather than 62K is that going to discourage you from lowering?

Can you post pics? I'd like check out your ride.

On the new iX control arms, how long do they last after being installed? If the iX is dropped, does it wear the control arms any faster? I know it wears the cv boots faster but what about the control arms? Thanx
